It can be a new or old restaurant; a historical restaurant, a hidden gem, a cheap spot or an expensive spot.

Anything but so long as it is unique to the area and is well known and loved by the locals.
Yah. So let’s try to refrain from posting places like Quiznos, Nathans, KFC, Taco Hell, etc.
Although I do agree there is nothing better than a Nathan’s beef frankfurter.

Peter’s clam bar in Island Park. It’s only open during the spring/summer season, but the food is mighty fresh!

    Popei’s Clam Bar
Excellent food. There’s one in Sayville & one in Coram, I think there’s others on the island too. We’ve eaten at the Coram & Sayville locations and in my opinion, the one in Sayville is the best. Tiny place but worth the wait if busy. I don’t like seafood but my husband does and he devours their seafood dishes. Their steaks are good too though.
