We want to get away for a short 4 day vacation in July. We live in western New York, so we have seen Niagara Falls. Not interested in the Adirondack’s (been there too). Anybody know of a really great place to spend a few days that has stuff to do and nice accomodations that arent over the top expensive. Would apprecidate any ideas….

have you been on any of the farrier rides?
Lake Placid! I believe its a good place in the warm months, although I went in the winter. Its really great up there! I love it! Hope you have fun wherever you find yourself!
Hi…I think that you would enjoy Long Island very much…the south shore has the ocean and beautiful beaches like Jones Beach (where you can catch a concert at it’s beautiful outdoor concert right on the water). The North shore has tons of cute, quaint towns from Huntington and going east to Port Jefferson, Sag Harbor, Southampton and Greenport. Take a day trip out to The Hamptons, but don’t spend the night there. Finally there is Montauk Point and Lighthouse, a must for anyone visiting Long Island. Accomodations run from inexpensive Holiday Inn types to really Ritzy hotels. I suggest you check online for nice B & B’s as well.
I hope this helps…have a great summer!
