How to travel New York City to Montreal by bus?

I would like to take the bus from NYC to Montreal. Which buses run this route, and can I book online? Thanks

    Back when I did it in the 1970s, Greyhound went there. They probably still do.

    Most buses in NY leave from the port authority bus terminal.

    You can find a list of bus companies here;

    Their web sites have schedules, and some you can book tickets on line. Don’t forget your passport or driver’s license to cross the border!
    ps actually if you just have a driver’s license then you need proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate. Better to have a passport.
