Not quite sure but I suggest traveling around within NYC with the subway because parking is ridiculous expensive (at some point 2 hours $35 and up).

Depends on your intinary. NY can be expensive…but you can play it down by grabbing a sconce, muffin & coffee for breakfast, for lunch maybe a hot dog and slice of pizza…do you plan to shop? Go on Broadway for a show?..you can visit the sites to the places you know for sure that you plan to do…take it from there…cocktails are expensive. I say you and your girlfriends chip in on a bottle of your favorite alcohol and make your own before partying…

    Central Park - free

    Times Square - free

Broadway/off Broadway shows - 1/2 price tickets available near Marriott Marquis

Price fixe dinners with some including a glass of wine are pretty reasonable

Canal Street - free; purchases reasonable - knockoff handbags $35; Tiffany knockoff jewelry, bracelet and ring, $30

    Brooklyn zoo - nominal fee

this site gives you the free activities happening on the days you are there.

another site with more things to do free -

you’ll have a wonderful time, fresh flowers can adorn your hotel room for sooooo cheap.

My friend, it depends, anywhere from $500 to $1000. Many of the main attractions in New York City have discounts with the use of a Citypass discount card which will be a big saving. On top of all that, most major landmarks, like the Brooklyn Bridge, the Staten Island Ferry and Central Park are free.

Also the NYC Transit system has unlimited ride multi-day Metrocard ranging from $7.50 to $81 a person. You and your friend can purchase the 7-day unlimited Metrocard for $25 a person and use it on both the subway and bus system for that particular week.

I hope this information is very helpful. Good luck and happy travels

Bring as much in travellers checks as you can manage without going into a dead faint, and that way you will not be short of cash, you can have a nice time, and can take home whatever extra you have. For a week: about $1,200 for each of you. I mean, how often do you travel all the way cross country to go to a big city? Not that often, isn’t it? So… plan to have a good time !

I’m going next week with all my girlfriends for about 5 days….I’ll take around $1000. I don’t plan to shop too crazy but then women always say that ;) It all really depends on your interests…nightlife/ the sights/ tours/ eating…. $800 is not too bad and will still let you sleep when you get back. If you want to be comfortable a G is best!
