Hi I’m planning to go on vacation in new york this summer and i would like to know whats really cool there and stuff. Particualarly around NYC? What are some good hotels with a good price? I’m going in the summer, also. How is the weather and what to bring?

this would be my first vacation ever. would like to visit the major attractions in New york city: empire state building, statue of liberty. what and where to look for best vacation package and what to look for in a hotel? how close should the hotel be to this? help with planning this first visit.

I’m planning a 6 night vacation in New York for the end of May. My boyfriend and I are planning to save at least $2000 to cover all expenses. For anyone who’s been to NY, is this a realistic amount? So far I have found some decent hotels going for around $150 a night. I am mostly worried about the higher cost of food, travel, etc.
Also, I am flying for free so airfare will not be included in my expenses.

I mean 150-200 miles from new york, where there are fun things for kids and the whole family to do. Me,myparents, and my sister want to go on a 5 day vacation

We are planning a trip to New York City this summer with our 4 month old daughter. We backpacked all over Europe and are open to that type of travel. She is a very flexible baby and sleeps well anywhere. I am not really wondering so much about how to travel with her as I am looking for information on the various sights/attractions. Are there places that do not allow infants. Example: I would love to see a Broadway show, but I presume that they do not allow young children. I was just wondering if anyone else has done this and if you have any advice on places that may not be easily visited before I buy tickets, etc.

We want to get away for a short 4 day vacation in July. We live in western New York, so we have seen Niagara Falls. Not interested in the Adirondack’s (been there too). Anybody know of a really great place to spend a few days that has stuff to do and nice accomodations that arent over the top expensive. Would apprecidate any ideas….
